TULSA, Okla. –In life, timing is everything. Finding a great deal. Getting a great job. Investing for the future. We are all at the mercy of the clock. But the owner of one Tulsa-based company is empowering businesses to take back control of not only their time but also their money.
“So much time and thus money can be unnecessarily lost between manual data processing, time and attendance inaccuracies and just simple human accounting errors,” Kevin Malone, owner of ExecuTime Software, a leading time and attendance solutions company, explained.
ExecuTime specializes in browser-based, all inclusive software that seamlessly interfaces to existing payroll applications providing a consistent method for collecting and tracking accurate workforce data in every department.
“We realized the need to not only streamline the corporate time and attendance process, but also create a flexible and intuitive program and then back that up with unparalleled customer service,” Malone added.
ExecuTime’s solutions are so effective with its “streamline your time” techniques that the company tripled its sales from 2007 to 2008. This year the company is installing its time and attendance software for such major governmental entities and businesses as the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority; the City of Sedona, Ariz.; the City of McKinney, Texas; the Cayman Islands Utilities; the Creek Nation Health System; the City of Naples, Fla.; the City of San Ramon, Calif. and the City of Marietta, Ga.
The City of Naples implemented ExecuTime Software with its existing SunGard® Public Sector Payroll to better manage their more than 800 employees. The city’s hourly employees use the browser-module and proximity devices to clock in and out, and all of the employees can use the browser-based system to request time off, view schedules and access their own benefit information.
“Whether hourly or salaried, on-site, remote or on-the-road, our software solution allows employees the freedom to enter their time using a variety of methods including swipe-cards, proximity cards, text messaging, biometric input devices, telephones through Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology and web browsers across the Internet,” Malone said. “And employers can mix and match the devices to suit their needs.”
ExecuTime Software is not simply an electronic timesheet. Supervisors can review, edit and approve employees’ time online, thus managing overtime, as well as monitor who is in attendance, approve electronically-submitted time off requests, track project orders and edit worker schedules.
Because the software solution fully integrates with payroll applications, employees can view their benefit time via a web browser without logging in to the payroll application itself. By integrating with payroll, the software tracks work and job orders and automatically assigns payroll costs to the appropriate departments.
“This is really leading-edge technology for the absolute lowest cost of ownership around,” Malone added. “And because customer service is our highest priority, we’re constantly enhancing our software and services, as well as streamlining our own service procedures.”
Unlike many high-end software companies, ExecuTime Software is completely self-funded and virtually debt-free. ExecuTime is also a MicroSoft and IBM Business Partner. With more than 15 years of executive-level experience in the software industry, Malone put his knowledge of software and business to good use when, as the original architect, he developed the ExecuTime product. Prior to founding ExecuTime, Malone was co-founder and president of Echelon3 Technologies, a Premier IBM Business partner focused on software development and services.
“I had been in this industry for a while and saw that there was a need for a product with this kind of intuitive features, so I decided to build one myself. I truly believe in this product,” Malone explained. “Depending on the specific solution, a company’s return-on-investment may take as little as three months.”
